Learn to Ride Metro

Residents of Harrison House took a field trip to Pike Place Market in Seattle last month. It wasn’t just  a chance to get out and enjoy the popular attraction but also a way to learn about the variety of services King County Metro provides.

A representative of Metro met with residents beforehand to explain the services they offer that

meet the transportation needs of seniors and people with disabilities in King County. All Metro buses include accessibility features such as wheelchair lifts and priority seating. Drivers wait for riders to be seated and announce major stops along the route.

With a Regional Reduced Fare Permit (discounted bus pass for seniors), seniors ride the bus for only $0.75 a trip. If you or someone you know would like how to learn to ride on Metro, call 206-749-4242.
