Deadline Approaching To Transfer Out of Newly Designated Smoke-Free/Non-Smoking Properties

Sept. 28 is the last chance for you to complete transfer paperwork and turn it in to your property manager if you want to live in a building that still allows smoking. KCHA’s Smoke-Free Housing Initiative went into effect in July at 11 properties. This transfer opportunity is available to residents at Burien Park, Burndale Homes, Eastridge House, Evergreen Court, Firwood Circle, Gustaves Manor, Harrison House, Mardi Gras, Munro Manor, Riverton Terrace (mixed-population building only), and Southridge House.

Transferring to a building that currently allows smoking does not guarantee that smoking will always be allowed there.

All resident services coordinators have resources to help residents who want to decrease or quit smoking. Valley Cities Counseling & Consultation is also available for those who want to quit but need more help.

The Washington State Quit Line is available for all residents of King County.
